Baku Computer College was founded on the base of Baku Computer lyceum functioned in 1996-2001 years. Baku Computer College was set up on Misir Mardanov’s-Minister of Education initiative of the end of July in 2001.At first period beginning its activity as the experimental base of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, at present this educational instution is one of the rare secondary schools for its profile in the country.

In foundation of the college its first director, chief administrator of the management pf information system department of the Ministry of Education; director of UNO project on implementing ICT at schools, currently the head administrator of the informatizator of educational system department attached to the Ministry of Education Bilal Guseynov candidate of physics-mathematics science had great work.

As the result of specially labor and strong efforts capable and highly educated pedagogical collective was formed at the college.

At present, this collective is conducted by Irada Safarova, one of the well-know specialist on information science in our republic and national caunseller on several themes of the World Bank in 2000-2004 years.
Our college is state educational institution. It is possible to get education on 4 specialities at the college:

1. Programme guarantee of calculation technique and automated systems. The main leading aspect of this programmes profession is to teach students the bases of programming.
2. Explotion and maintenance service of automated systems and calculation technique.
3. Laboratory diagnostics.Our students learn the skills and habits of treatment to computer techniques used in medical diagnostics.
4. Information Sciens.At 1-9 classes students get education and skills related to teaching of information science subject.
